“Tsukifunecho”- a hidden cafe found in Nishi-ku, Osaka.
Utsubo Park, Nishi-ku Osaka is a highly competitive area for sweets.
I discovered “Tsukifunecho”, a hidden cafe on the second floor of a building near Utsubo Park!
This time I visited it and the sweets, coffee and room cheered me up, so I am going to introduce it to you all.
There is a lovely signboard when you get up to the second floor…
There is “coffee,” “cheesecake,” “ganache,” “soy milk coffee pudding” and then “books” on the “Tsukifunecho” signboard.
The inside of the store has a calm interior with white tones. The seats by the window have counters, and there are ones that have tables against the walls.
It is an ideal cafe for drinking coffee while leisurely reading by yourself due to the fact that it is an establishment made for coffee and books, and even from the viewpoint of its style of seating.
The music is also pleasant, and it is a cozy space that makes you forget that you are in a city.
This fantastic cafe’s menu only has the following three items:
– Coffee and a piece of cheesecake (¥500)
– Coffee and a piece of ganache (¥500)
– Soy milk coffee pudding (not sold from November to March).
This time I had the coffee and a piece of cheesecake (¥500).
For the coffee you can choose between the “Ecuador Andes Mountains” or “Columbia Supremo.” Today I chose the Columbia Supremo.
I found this out afterwards, but the coffee and a piece of cheesecake (¥500) and the coffee and piece of ganache (¥500) both come with cheesecake and ganache.
In other words, no matter which one you order, you get the same plate of sweets.
The mellow aroma and mild flavor made for a wonderful, completely satisfying coffee.
I then ate the long-awaited sweets.
I had the cheesecake first.
It was so goooooooooood!!!!!!!!
It had a rich cheese taste, just the right amount of sweet and sour, and a savory base texture. The gentle flavor spreads all around the inside of your mouth.
Next I had the ganache.
This exceptional melt-in-your-mouth chocolate had a wonderful taste, and its mildly sweet, cocoa-like bitter taste was pleasant.
It went excellently with the coffee I chose this time, the “Colombia Supremo.”
I wanted to eat cheesecake and ganache a bit more, but the main focus of this cafe is books and coffee, so thinking that you want to eat a little more might be just the right amount. I think that amount is probably calculated by them as well.
In any case, the fact that I got my fill did not change.
I would stay for a long while in this sort of cafe it were closer to my house…
I want to visit here next time I want to leisurely read.
– For people who are looking for a cafe to relax at in Osaka.
– For people who like to drink coffee while reading.
– For people who are fine with just a coffee, but also crave chocolate and sweets.
I recommend “Tsukifunecho”, which is close to Utsubo Park.
