Enjoyed Fondant au Chocolat and Banana Tarte at the delicious bakery La Fourne’ein Tosabori, Nishi-ku!
When I was walking towards the Osaka Science Museum from Utsubo Park, I found an unfamiliar green roof in front of the bridge!
Is it a bread bakery? Or a sweets shop?
Boulangerie Patisserie La Fourne’e It was a shop that is a combination of both a bakery and sweets shop.
I entered, curious of what kinds of sweets they had.
With a little counter in the front, the store had some depth. The kitchen was in the back.
The bread and pastries section was on the right side.
The patisserie section was on the left side.
According to the chef, the various line up of different tarts is highly recommended.
The day that I was there, they had several different types including the pear tart (¥320: before tax) and fig and apricot tart (¥320: before tax).
I will introduce some other items that caught my eye below.
Kouign Amann (¥230: before tax) and Tarte pommes Normande (¥230: before tax).
Banana caramel tart (¥320: before tax).
Cake Chocolat cut (¥390) and Pain d’Epices
I also saw Canele’, Scone, Fondant au Chocolat, etc…
The popular cream puffs were in the refrigerated case next to the counter (¥190: before tax).
They also had some simple, bite size sweets such as the millet pudding (¥230: before tax).
In the bread section, there were many pastries including Pain au chocolat, but also a solid line up of sweets.
From many attractive items, I chose the 2 sweets below.
Banana caramel tart with exquisitely matching gin lime-flavored meringue and sweet banana-infused dough (¥320: before tax).
Fondant au Chocolat, with the perfectly matching rich aroma of the chocolate and acidity of berries (¥230: before tax).
Both were excellent sweets, well-balanced in sweetness, acidity, and bitterness.
They were so delicious. Thank you!
Boulangerie Patisserie La Fourne’e is both a sweets shop and bread bakery with a very homely feel, owned by a chef who has trained at a famous patisserie.
They not only have sweets and pastries but also various types of jam, so those who love baked goods will no doubt be sucked in to this wonderful spot.
・People who love baked goods
・People who love freshly baked bread and pastries
・People who love tarts with delicately selected ingredients
I highly recommend La Fourne’e.
