“OSTERIA Orobianco” Italian restaurant, located in Kitashinchi.
I’d like to recommend “OSTERIA Orobianco” to anyone looking for delicious sweets and Italian food in the Kitashinchi/Doujima area.
All of the Italian dishes, including the oven-baked pizza, the pasta, and of course, the sweets (dolce) are delicious.
The shop is a two minute walk from Nishiumeda Station’s Yotsubashi subway line.
Passing through the front entrance to see the spacious interior…
Private rooms that can accommodate up to 10 people appear suitable for functions like business meetings.
This time I was led to a table close enough to appreciate the fine pizza oven.
The lighting is not too bright, but not too dark either.
I never thought to find such an amazingly calming atmosphere in the city.
As expected from one with Mr. Osteria Orobianco’s classic Italian background, the menu features an abundance of excellent cuisine.
Featuring appetizers, pasta, and of course, pizza, there are a great variety of meat and seafood dishes to enjoy.
I’m very glad to see such a wealth of sweets (dolce) options.
This time we were a party of three.
First a toast with champagne.
Fried dough, a Naples specialty.
Five varieties of appetizers.
Orobianco’s signature Caesar salad with a thick soft boiled egg.
Next I tried a specialty pizza with bamboo charcoal kneaded into the dough.
I’m amazed to see him spin the dough in mid-air, a technique that until now I’d only seen on T.V.
Now that the dough is evened out, it’s topped with mozzarella and parmesan cheeses, basil, and mushrooms.
Lastly, some truffles on top. The dough is complete!
The pizza is baked in the oven.
I’m surprised that it cooks so much faster than I’d anticipated! I rush to take it out.
The thoroughly cooked pizza is topped off with a slow-boiled hot spring egg.
The truffle pizza (1,500円) was ridiculously good.
After the pizza, it’s time for oven-baked lobster.
The slightly sweet and very filling lobster is excellent and pairs well with white wine.
Tomato cream spaghetti made from freshly grown tomatoes.
The mild acidity of the tomato cream brings out the flavor of the sea urchin.
A special Wagyu roast beef made from an Australian breed of cattle sharing a lineage with the Japanese Black.
Then, the long-awaited dolce.
While a plate normally contains three sweets, this time I was treated to five.
A bite size chocolate cake made with Belgian chocolate.
Just the right amount of each. Delicious!
The cuisine, sweets, drinks, and hospitality of the staff were all wonderful. Thank you for the delectable meal.
“OSTERIA Orobianco”’s bamboo charcoal pizza may be its most famous, but the quality of their other dishes with regard to presentation, flavor, portion size and ability to pair with wine are also equally noteworthy.
The restaurant staff is also very hospitable on every visit.
They are also open for lunch, so next time I’ll pay a visit around lunch time.
