The English-Style Cafe “Seiyo Sakan”
“I want to try delicious Osakan french toast!”
Well, then I recommend “Seiyo Sakan”.
The shop is located in Japan’s oldest shopping district, the famous Tenjinbashisujishotengai.
The storefront is distinguished by a large cake showcase.
The closest station is Chikatetsu Tessencho Station.
Colorful cakes in the front of the store.
A limited-season chestnut chiffon cake.
The shop interior is modeled after English country town tearooms.
The dim interior has a wonderful antique feel.
There are no counter seats, but there is a table for two by the window.
Today I sat at a table in the back.
I checked the menu right away, but I was surprised by all of the drinks.
The dessert menu is also full, with cheesecake, chocolate cake, etc.
They also have afternoon tea.
All of the dessert menu was tempting, but I was most interested in the scones and french toast.
Since I had already eaten, I got the french toast set (¥850 before tax).
The french toast is made of brioche bread cooked after being soaked overnight in eggs, milk, and cinnamon.
The brioche is fluffy and soft.
The bitterness of the coffee also goes extremely well with this set.
IT’S SO GOOOOD!!!
I got the chestnut chiffon cake that had caught my eye at the front, but the chestnut cream was a little oversweet.
I thought that it would go well with black tea.
Thanks for the meal.
Today was a weekday, and so smoking was OK (weekends and holidays are non-smoking).
I don’t like tobacco smoke, so next time I’ll visit on a non-smoking day.
