When it comes to long-established specialty sandwich shops, Victory, located in Edobori is the first thing that comes to mind.
Although it was relocated in 1990, its retro ambiance is alive and well!
The shop’s interior is long and spacious with a low-key atmosphere.
The warm and friendly married couple who run the cafe are so inviting that I unintentionally stayed longer than I had intended.
There are a large assortment of painstakingly handmade sandwiches which have a home cuisine feel, but would be difficult and time consuming to prepare at home.
I personally recommend the piping hot “pork-cutlet sandwich.”
I also recommend the “three color sandwich.”
The hearty “three color sandwich” has tuna, ham, and cutlet and is topped off with tomatoes, cucumber and egg.
It is served on soft, most bread that is as much as 1.5cm thick and highlights the excellence of the ingredients.
Ah! It was delectable! What a delicious meal!
