Minamisenba “Midosuji LODGE” great lunch deals!
For today’s lunch, I went to a western restaurant in Minamisenba “Midosuji LODGE”
A branch of a highly popular western restaurant in Higashi-Shinsaibashi “Western restaurant Katsui”, the restaurant is based on the concept of serving “delicious western food to the senior generation”.
Although I would like to try all the 8 types of appetizing lunch menus, I decided on the “Western Lunchbox” which contains an assortment of the restaurant’s offerings today (1500 Yen).
The exciting and splendid offerings include beef stew, Norway salmon platter, fried prawns and cream croquette!
The meat is so tender it melts in your mouth and the demi-glace sauce has a well-refined taste that adults will like!
Unconsciously, you will feel like drinking red wine … (＾＾
Norway salmon platter…
The horseradish is a perfect match for the salmon which contains a moderate amount of fat!
Signature fried prawns…
Firm and crispy and utterly delicious!
Of course, you’ll eat the whole prawn including the head!
Huge serving including a large salad with Italian-style omelette and sweet potatoes, rice, pickled vegetables and miso soup!
Together with a drink as well, 1500 Yen is a real steal no matter how you look at it!
This is the “deep-fried Ise oysters” (1600 yen) with “fried prawn topping” (plus 200 yen) that my friend who came along with me ate.
Of course, it also comes in a set with a large salad and drink, making it a great deal!
While the appetizing lunch menus may be priced slightly on the high side, they are still cheap if you consider the contents!
Located deep in the basement of a building, the restaurant is extremely cosy with a slightly retro ambience.
There is also a large tatami room so having a western meal while sitting on the floor seems interesting as well (＾＾
I was surprised at the large number of customers inside the spacious restaurant even after 2 pm!
I sure would like to have dinner here as well (＾＾
