Fukushima Ward “Grill BarBie”

I had this amazingly filling specialty item, Turkish Rice!

For today’s lunch, I went to a bar & grille in Fukushima Ward, called “Grill BarBie”.
It’s a place where you can indulge in lava-stone barbeque dishes, beer, wine, and cocktails, and it opened just last month.
There were five lovely lunches prepared for lunchtime, and this time I had the “Turkish Rice Special” (980 yen).

A huge portion of Turkish Rice (rice pilaf) was dished onto a big plate, and on the rice massive amounts of fried chicken cutlets. And behind that were hiding Napolitan (a type of spaghetti dish), potato salad, and vegetable salad. I was a little shocked by the sheer volume of food!

Sizzling hot, freshly fried chicken cutlets…

The hearty, juicy sauce pairs really well with the rice.

Potato salad, Napolitan spaghetti…

The flavor just invites you to have a beer!
After I’d eaten everything, I was stuffed to the gills!

All five of the lunch menu items looked great.
I like the looks of the evening menu, too!

Still new, this restaurant has a fresh, cheerful vibe, and it’s nice and cozy.

It’s in an alley near the Fukushima Station. The folks at this restaurant are all so friendly and are nothing but nice!
I’d love to stop in for the evening, too!
