“Osaka Butashabu no Kai Main store” in Shinmachi

Delicious courses of pork shabu-shabu in an exquisite atmosphere, all at an amazing price!

I recently had dinner at “Osaka Butashabu no Kai Main store”, a restaurant serving pork shabu-shabu In Shinmachi Nishi-ward.
The restaurant interior features traditional, horigotatsu (sunken kotatsu ) tables within private rooms, making for an luxuriously comfortable setting to enjoy their elegant pork shabu-shabu.
There are various courses based on price point and ingredients, but today I tried the 5600 yen course.
The Three-Variety Sashimi Platter (this picture shows 4 portions)
The mood and ambience is fantastic!

So gooood!!
It’s fresh, delicious, and utterly sublime!

Draft bear and appetizers

The Steamed Plate
Sea bream, mushrooms, and cooked scallions wrapped in “yuba” tofu skin!

So deliciousss!!
The fish inside is flaky and sweet, and the way the mushroom’s flavor perfectly melds with the tofu tastes so elegant and deliciously refined!

Highball Cocktail

Kyomochi Pork Shabu Shabu
All of this meat is beautifully laid out, and it’s a single portion!

First, we boil the vegetables.

And when you try their secret-recipe broth…

Ohhh, it’s sooo good!
This broth, is absolutely amazing!!
It’s so good you want to drink it down in one gulp. ^^

Quickly swirl the pork in the broth…

and taste it with their secret-recipe broth…

Ahh, it’s still sooo good!!
The meat is so tender and sweet, and it tastes amazing when it melds with their delicious, secret broth!

White Wine

Now add the soba to the pot…

…and try it with the broth…

It really is amazinggg!!

Fried Octopus

The octopus is first cooked and then fried, so it’s really soft and delicious, especially when you add the deep flavor of the dashi broth!

Steamed Eel Sushi

Here comes the meaty eel, folded into a leaf of bamboo!

It’s so tasty!!
The eel is so soft it practically melts, and disappeared in the blink of an eye. ^^

And after enjoying dessert, I’m full and very very satisfied!!

The courses are priced reasonably from 2980 yen and up depending on your budget, and there are plenty of choices, including a-la-carte options, for you to pick from!

Looking from the outside, you can’t imagine that the inside has such a soothing, Japanese feel and wonderfully intimate kotatsu dining rooms. It’s a truly great experience and a wonderful restaurant! In the summer the rooms are well cooled, so definitely make sure to come and reserve your seat for delicious pork shabu shabu! ^^.
