“Bucchigiri Sushi” in Shonai, Toyonaka
For lunch today, I went to “Bucchirigi Sushi” , a kaiten-zushi place in Shonai, Toyonaka City.
Sushi made from perfectly fresh fish was on offer from 110 yen per plate, making it very affordable. The place is famous for the very rare items it offers, and it’s been introduced on TV a couple of times.
“Bucchigiri BIG prawn” (300 yen)
Just can’t believe I can tuck into this huge prawn for 300 yen!
This store offers a type of salt specifically for sushi, so you can enjoy sushi with salt instead of soy sauce!
Scallops so big you can’t see the rice! A real highlight.
The flavor of the shellfish was so rich, unbelievably tasty!
It’s the first time I’ve eaten this, apparently it’s a very expensive fish!
The more you chew the springy meat, the more the sweet flavor seeps out!
“Unicorn leatherjacket” (110 yen)
Again, very sweet and delicious!
“Bensasi goatfish” (110 yen)
It’s got a distinct chewiness, and it’s full of flavor!
“Crescent sweetlips” (110 yen)
The meat is so firm, it shows that it’s very fresh.
“Red miso soup” (180 yen)
Came in a huge bowl, full of goodies!
With tons of stock from the fish, the flavor is very deep.
“Raw squid legs” (110 yen)
“Spear squid” (200 yen)
“Egg” (110 yen)
“Chicken carpaccio” (110 yen)
A light, refreshing flavor!
“Roast beef” (110 yen)
I found this popular dish even here!
“Freshly cooked udon” (280 yen)
That’s really cheap!
Mixed with the egg, dipped in the stock and took a bite…
I was caught a bit off guard, but the firm udon really clung onto a lot of the egg and stock; it was very good!
There were only four prices for the sushi, 110 yen, 200 yen, 300 yen and 500 yen, and most of the varieties were 110 yen.
With a great selection of rare items, it was very cheap and tasty!
It’s a very spacious store with both counter seats and private tables, making it very flexible, whether you want to go by yourself or with family! Situated in a convenient location close to Hankyu Shonai Station, it’s highly recommended if you’re after cheap, delicious kaiten-zushi!
