“Ramen Bakajikara” in Namba

The taste of the numbingly spicy miso ramen is a new sensation!

For today’s lunch, I went to “Ramen Bakajikara”, a ramen shop in Nambanaka in the Naniwa Ward.
It was my first visit to this shop which just opened in May, but already has a reputation for serving delicious miso ramen!
“Spicy Miso Ramen” (850 yen)
You get to choose from three spiciness levels, so I picked the spiciest “3 Spice”!
Served in a very big bowl, with generous portions!

I’ll try the somewhat thickened soup…

Wow, it’s delicious!!
The sweetness and richness of the miso are fantastic, and it’s followed by a jolting, numbing spiciness that spreads across the palate!
The spicy miso ramen isn’t seasoned with red peppers, but instead with Japanese peppers, which offers a new sensation that gets you hooked the more you eat it!

It’s delicious!!
It’s smooth and chewy, the original flavor is fantastic, and it’s an excellent match to the numbing spicy miso soup!

“Red Miso Ramen” (850 yen)
This is the shop’s default selection, and I had just one taste of it.

It’s delicious!!
The sweetness and richness of the miso comes through directly, it’s an irresistible taste for miso lovers!

It’s delicious!!
It has a wonderfully chewy texture and it’s very filling!

“Mapo Tofu Bowl” (250 yen)
The generous serving at this price is so satisfying!

It’s delicious!!

Including the “Black Ma-Yu (Garlic Chili Oil) Ramen” that’s only offered for dinner, you can enjoy three types of ramen.
The sides menu is also very rich in selection!

The clean, brightly-lit interior has counter seating, tatami floor seating, and a stand-and-eat counter section.

It’s a ramen house that’s very conveniently located near Namba Station.
I highly recommend it if you’re in the mood for delicious miso ramen!
