“GROVE piccola” in Kyomachibori, Nishi-ku.

They have produced an upgraded version of their unique genre of food, Tantan Rice!

Today I went for lunch at “GROVE piccola”, a cafe in Kyomachibori, Nishi-ku.
I had been surprised at the Tantan Rice there when I had it before, and when I heard that they had produced a new, upgraded version then I just had to go try it (^^
“Tantan Rice Set” (¥1050)
This substantial set includes a roast pork salad, soup, desert, and drink along with the unique Tantan Rice!
Of course, you can also order Tantan Rice à la carte (¥750)!

This dish gets full marks for volume with minced meat miso, sesame soy milk cream, tomato, Japanese honeywort, and peanuts on top of a plentiful serving of rice!

I gave it a stir and mixed it all in together…

Wow!! Amazing!!!
Aaahhhh, I just love this flavor!
It has some spiciness as well as the mild umami taste of the soy cream. It is an addicting flavor!

Japanese pepper powder and ground sesame are also available. Adding the pepper increases the spicy sensation on your tongue and makes it all the more delicious!

The salad contains the specialty roast pork!

Wow!! Amazing!!!
It’s moist and tender, and the refreshing dressing brings out the flavor of the meat!

The secret ingredient in the soup is soy milk, and it is delicious to eat as it is, but…

I highly recommend pouring it over your Tantan Rice!

Wow!! Amazing!!!
This makes it all the more mild and is truly the best way to eat it!

Soy milk mousse for desert!

Wow!! Amazing!!!
The texture is moist and bubbly, and the soy milk has a great aroma and wonderful faint sweetness!

I drunk my ice coffee, and finished satisfied and with a full stomach. ¥1050 for a set which includes all this has to be considered great value for money!

The lunch menu changes daily.
