Misumi in Umeda

Get Your Fill of this Veteran Soba Restaurant's Seriously Tasty Dashi!

Today I went to “Misumi” for lunch.
It’s a veteran soba restaurant from way, way back that stands in front of the overhead structure near Hankyu Umeda Station. Today I was really craving this place’s dashimaki, so I stopped by!
“Dashimaki Set Meal” (¥850)
This is a set meal that really lets you savor the flavor of the broth, by adding warm soba, rice, and pickled vegetables to a huge serving of fresh made, piping hot dashimaki tamago (^^

A gigantic dashimaki tamago…

It’s so goooood!!
The jiggly dashimaki tamago is so soft, it practically melts in your mouth, and the light, delicious hint of flavor from the dashi made me moan without thinking!

Hot soba…

It’s so goooood!!
The umami flavor of the dashi deserves special mention, and its compatibility with the white soba noodles is outstanding, to the point that this dish makes all your worries disappear!

Unlike what you would expect for a restaurant right in the middle of Umeda, the pricing is very fair.

The restaurant’s exterior and interior are said to be the same as soba restaurants from long ago, and make for a great atmosphere.
For times when you find yourself craving some seriously delicious dashi, dashimaki tamago, or soba, I absolutely recommend this restaurant!
