“Grill & Kitchen Kabocha no Basha” in Hommachi

The Delicious Set of the Day is both Filling and Affordable!

For today’s lunch I went to “Grill & Kitchen Kabocha no Basha” in Hommachi.
During the day, Western-style food is served and at night there are also Japanese-pub favorites, at an affordable price.
There were 6 types of lunch menus to choose from, but I ordered the ‘Set of the Day’ (¥750), which was recommended to me by the owner.
I got a big fried pork cutlet, fried shrimp, a hearty, fresh salad and a large bowl of rice, for a great price!

A bite of the pork cutlet covered in the demi-glace sauce..

and its DELICIOUS!!
The combination of the light, crispy batter and the refined taste of the sauce is exquisite!

Fried Shrimp

The texture of the batter of this one is also amazing and the homemade sauce tartar tastes rich, just the way I like it.

The lunch menu at this price, for the amount of food, is really great.
The pub food menu at night also looks enticing and inexpensive.

This restaurant is in the basement of a building located conveniently by Honmachi station. It has the feel of a secret hide-out and is very cozy.
I would love to go again sometime at night to take time enjoy the great food.
