“Jonestu Udon Sanshu” in Toyosaki

The popular classic dish, "Chiku tama ten with broth"! (Cold udon noodles served with broth, topped with fried chikuwa and a fried soft-boiled egg.)

For today’s lunch, I went to the udon restaurant “Jonestu Udon Sanshu” in Kita Ward’s Toyosaki. I love it there and have been there so many times. I have tried their udon, as well as their evening hot pot and Japanese bar dishes, but this time, I ate the dish I tried the first time I went that really left an impression on me (^ ^
“Chiku tama ten with broth” (820 yen)
I will never forget this udon dish, which I ate the first time I came here 9 years ago!

The noodles are so glossy and stretchy…

Wooooow, sooo delicious!!
The texture, firmness, stretchiness, taste, flavor…
There are so many elements to great cold udon with broth, but there’s no need for me to keep talking about them. What’s tasty is tasty (^ ^
The udon, and fried chikuwa, and fried soft-boiled egg on rice… I was revived and refreshed on the first day I came here after slowly savoring them all!

There are so many popular dishes, but at this store they are all specialties!

I took the top photo today.
I took the bottom photo the first time I came here, on October 20th, 2006.
You can really get the feeling that 9 years have passed! (^ ^

I really hope that the restaurant will carry on serving delicious udon and impressing many customers for years to come!
