Menya Marusho Shin-Osaka Store
“Shin Naniwa Daishokudo” recently opened in Shin-Osaka on March 30. For today’s lunch, I went to a ramen shop there called “Menya Marusho Shin-Osaka Store”.
On their menu are three Taiwanese mix soba variations, soy sauce Chinese soba, salt Chinese soba, and Taiwanese ramen. Their lineup focuses on these dishes, but they also have side menu items available.
“Taiwanese Mix Soba” (¥780)
It’s been a while since I enjoyed this shop’s classic, most popular dish!
The sauce is at the bottom of the bowl, so I mixed the noodles thoroughly along with all the ingredients!
Now, the thick noodles are covered in sauce and other ingredients…
The combination of firmness and chewiness in the noodles makes for the perfect texture. Thoroughly mixed up with a whiff of seafood flavors from its rich sauce and the taste of minced beef, these noodles are super delicious!
This shop’s Taiwanese mix soba is really consistently delicious no matter when or where you eat it. (^^
You can also enjoy customizing the taste to your liking with the kelp vinegar and garlic provided on their tables!
A small amount of rice is provided for finishing up, so, after eating up all the noodles, I put the rice in the bowl with the remaining ingredients and thoroughly mixed them…
As expected, the flavors went really well with the rice, so I ate it all up in a daze. (^^
This shop uses the meal ticket machine system.
I arrived at the shop at around 11:40 a.m. and there were 4 or 5 people lined up, but I got seated immediately after waiting for only 5 minutes.
When I left at past 12:00 noon, I was surprised to find a long queue of around 20 people waiting outside!
You can find this place is very conveniently located right beyond the Shin-Osaka station north ticket gates. I would definitely love to come here again to eat some Chinese soba!
