“Chuna Labo. Choyo” in Kitashinchi

Enjoy authentic Sichuan-style Mapo tofu packed with a peppery bite and great flavor in elegant surroundings!

For lunch today, I visited a Chinese restaurant in Kitashinchi, “Chuna Labo. Choyo”.
It was my first visit to a Sichuan cuisine establishment with a reputation for excellent Mapo tofu.
“Ultimate Mapo set”(1000 yen)
Mapo tofu with salad, zha cai pickles, all-you-can-eat rice and almond tofu, a real bargain!

It’s easy to see that there’s lots of Sichuan peppers in this!(^^

Amazing !!
Great depth of flavor and an irresistible numbing, peppery finish!

On rice…

Delicious !!
Needless to say, goes great with rice!

The almond tofu exuded luxury with its decadent flavor. I left full and satisfied!

The lunch menu is either an A or B set most of the time, but apparently there’s sometimes a C set.
The dinner menu is priced very reasonably for a place in Kitashinchi!

Situated in the underground level of the building, the interior sported downlights for an elegant atmosphere. It felt very comfortable.
Definitely think an evening visit is on the cards!
