“Watanabe Curry” in Kitashinchi
I had my lunch today at “Watanabe Curry” in Kitashinchi.
The restaurant had 5 different kinds of curry.
“Spiced Tonkatsu Curry” (1,150 yen)
Since I could pick the spiciness and the amount of rice, I went ahead and asked for “spicy” and “regular”.
Afterwards I was asked whether I was fine with putting in coriander in my dish. Perhaps they don’t put it in other people’s dishes if they don’t want it?
First, I’ll be trying the curry…
(゚Д゚)Yummy!(゚Д゚)Yummy!
Soooooo gooooood!!!!
The curry had a nice balance between exotic spices and flavor, and a subtle touch of coriander for an exquisite taste!
The big, 150-gram tonkatsu (fried pork cutlet) was fried using a special batter that contains the restaurant’s original spices as well as powdered cheese!
Let’s try the tonkatsu with curry sauce…
(゚Д゚)Yummy!(゚Д゚)Yummy!
Soooooo gooooood!!!!
The crispy fried tonkatsu, when I bit into it, gave out a rich amount of juice! Besides anything, it went so incredibly well with the spiced curry!
It’s also great that they serve a small salad dish and a small cup of lassi with your meal!
The chicken curry the person sitting next to me was eating looked so good, and the dry keema curry another person was eating seemed scrumptious, too! In any case, this restaurant must have conquered the entire genre of curry!
This is a shop located on the third floor of the same building as the restaurant. It has a luxurious and subtly profound, bar-like atmosphere.
You can bet I’ll be coming back!
