“Diamond Curry” at Osaka Ekimae 3rd Building

Osaka's traditional underground shopping street curry is tasty indeed! And it goes outstandingly well with roast beef!

For lunch today, I went to “Diamond Curry”, a curry and spaghetti restaurant in Osaka Ekimae 3rd Building.

The restaurant is newly opened and evolved out of the “Osaka underground shopping street curry” that was born in the city’s underground shopping street in 1964, and that Osaka people have loved ever since!

Roast beef curry (980 JPY)
Well, this looks super appealing.

I tried just the roux first.

Woooooww, it tastes grrrrrreat!!
It’s really fruity and it has this unbelievable European-style deep flavor and body to it!

Breaking the egg yolk…

and mixing it in…

Woooooww, it tastes grrrrrreat!!
The roast beef is super soft and goes outstandingly well with the fruity roux and the egg yolk!

This restaurant stands out for having a huge variety of toppings.
I’m sure that this curry would go well with any of them!

Being located close by the center of Umeda, with no regular days off and long opening hours makes for outstanding user-friendliness!

If you’re after delicious traditional Osaka curry, then I totally recommend this place!
