“Menya Kunimaru Umeda Store” in Nakazakicho

A voluminous, classic, rich miso ramen!

Today’s ramen is from “Menya Kunimaru Umeda Store” in Nakazakicho.
It’s a miso ramen specialty shop with a head office in Kochi Prefecture.

“100-year-old Hokkaido miso cutlet ramen” (980 yen), “rice (small)” (100 yen)
Topped with huge slices of roasted pork and deep-fried breaded pork cutlet in a large container, it’s incredibly voluminous!

Starting off with the soup

The miso is full of richness and umami, but the sweetness characteristic of miso still comes through. It’s an extremely full-bodied miso soup!

The thick and wavy noodles

The noodles are coated in the miso soup!

The thick slices of roasted pork

The rich taste was able to soak into the dense roasted pork!

The deep-fried breaded pork cutlet

The umami-rich miso soup soaked into the pork cutlet coating and was extremely tasty!

Putting the miso soup-soaked pork cutlet on rice and eating it…

A wide variety of toppings were offered; I guess miso soup really goes with anything!
I highly recommend this store if you’re ever in the mood for a delicious and voluminous bowl of miso ramen!
