“Iwamura” in Osaka Ekimae 2nd Building

A Popular French Restaurant in a Building Basement

For today’s lunch, we headed to the second floor basement of the Osaka Ekimae 2nd Building to a restaurant called “Iwamura”.
While Iwamura is originally a French restaurant, you can get Western-centric dishes on their lunch menu.
Today we dined on the “Iwamura Deluxe Mixed Lunch.”
Featuring a specially-made stewed hamburg steak, a croquette, and a daily stir-fry special, this menu offering is for greedy eaters!
Today’s daily stir-fry special was pork teriyaki.

Since it was a stewed hamburg steak, juices from the meat didn’t come out, but its fluffy texture was really good!
We felt a subtle flavor from the topping of sweet tomato sauce, which went perfectly with the hamburg steak.

The pork-like croquette was packed with plenty of sweetness from the potato, and was delicious straight from the fryer!

The pork teriyaki was surprisingly light, and the meat was tender, too
The “Iwamura Deluxe Mixed Lunch,” which comes with unlimited refills of rice and miso soup, is 850 yen.

While it seems like the sort of restaurant that would have a line after 12 PM, I was the first to arrive, right after it opened.
Soon after, though, many customers came in all at once. While it didn’t reach full capacity, I realized how popular Iwamura was!
