“Issei” in Sakaisuji-Hommachi

Sublime dashi and meat! I'm so satisfied with the warming meat and tofu set meal!

For today’s lunch, I went to “Issei”, a Japanese restaurant in Sakaisuji-Hommachi.
I was really looking forward to the “meat and tofu set” (¥700), it looked so good!

The large bowl was filled right up, so it was a huge portion!

First I used the wooden spoon to eat the dashi…

Woah, it was so delicious!!
The Japanese dashi, with its concentrated umami flavor, worked so well. I adore that flavor!

Japanese wagyu beef rib meat

Woah, it was so delicious!
The sweetness of the meat went perfectly with the savory dashi. It was exquisite!

It had a whole block of firm tofu! I was so impressed!

I cut it

So delicious!
The kelp dashi had soaked into the tofu, making it incredibly tasty just on its own!

There was also a boiled egg, which made me even happier!
I split it open, and it was soft boiled!
When you mix it with the dashi…

So delicious!
Everything tastes so delicious when mixed with this sublime dashi (^^

I really want to do this (^^

Woah, it was so delicious!
Aaaah, it was so irresistible!
The freshly cooked rice, supplied by contract farmers, was fluffy, sweet, and really delicious!
I got a second helping of the rice, so I was very happy!

The meat and tofu set was a huge amount to eat, but I finished off every last bit, and felt so satisfied and full!!

The seats at the luxurious counter were really spacious, and felt so comfortable!
They had loads of valuable bottles of sake and shochu, so I now really want to come here in the evening! (^^

I’ve got to come here one evening!
