“Kyu Yamutei” in Tanimachi 6-chome

Genuine spicy curry in a relaxing space

For lunch today I went to “Kyu Yamutei”, a curry restaurant in Tanimachi 6-chome.
With the Sunday curry menu you can choose two out of four types of curry, so I chose “Chicken curry with red pepper and cardamom,” and “Beef and pork keema with mushroom sauce.”
For the rice, you can choose between turmeric or brown rice, so I had the turmeric.
Along with the curries, three side dishes and dessert are also included for ¥850, which is very reasonable!

Ladled out along with a giant piece of chicken

The feel of the spice spreading out softly in your mouth is too good!
The chicken is very soft, the flavor is soaked in well, and it’s really tasty!

Beef and pork keema curry

The spice mixed up with the sweetness and flavor of the meat is amazing!
The taste will grab hold of those who like spicy food.

The shop, in the middle of the Karahori Shopping Street, is an old house that has been remodeled, and it’s a very elegant and relaxed space.
The ladies at the restaurant all treat the customers with warm hospitality, and it was a really pleasant experience!
I’ll definitely go back again to try the other types of curry!
