“Hon Cha” in Temma

Genuine Sichuan mapo tofu with an addictive combo of savory flavor and numbing spice!

For lunch today I went to “Hon Cha”, a Chinese restaurant in Temma.
I’d heard rumors about their delicious mapo tofu, and I’d been wanting to visit for a while!
“Sichuan Mapo Tofu Lunch” (¥900)
Mapo tofu topped with fried chicken, hearty soup, and as many helpings of rice as you want!

This mapo tofu looks delicious at just one glance!

First I tried it as-is.

Wowww, so goood!!!
Incredible richness and addictive savory flavor, along with a slightly surprising level of numbness — crazy good!

Then with rice.

Wowww, so goood!!!
Goes insanely well with rice. I can’t stop(^^

The Dandan Noodles Lunch is very popular: about half the people there were eating it!

When I arrived at the restaurant around 12:50 PM, it was full and three people were waiting, but I got seated in about 5 minutes.
After that, the restaurant was full the whole time I was there, and seven or eight customers were waiting outside!
It’s incredible that they have a line in that area, at that hour!
Next time I think I’ll visit at night!
