“Daikimen” in Osaka Maru building

Chilled Taiwan ramen available only in summer to allow you to enjoy the savory spicy flavor and mouthfeel of the ramen without breaking a sweat!

For today’s lunch I went to the 2nd basement floor of the Osaka Maru building in Umeda to eat at a restaurant specializing in Taiwan ramen called “Daikimen”.
This restaurant is famous for Taiwan ramen and Taiwan maze-men, but I went there to taste their chilled Taiwan ramen, available only in summer!
“Chilled Ramen with Cilantro” (800 JPY)
It looks quite spicy at first glance, but the huge helping of ground meat with miso is really generous!

First I’ll have some of the ground meat and miso with the soup…

It’s chilled and yet quite savory, with an amazing texture. The ground meat with miso boasts a bold, meaty taste as well!
The spice is at a reasonable level, and since it is served chilled it makes it easier to keep stuffing myself with more (^ ^

Medium-sized straight noodles.

The firm, chilled noodles are so refreshing!

I like that they provide a small rice with it as well!

Plenty of chilled soup and ground meat with miso on it.

The noodles and rice are so refreshing I never broke a sweat. (^ ^

The restaurant is in the 2nd basement floor of the Osaka Maru Building. I went there a bit late, yet the place was still packed and bustling with diners!
The delicious spicy chilled Taiwan ramen is only available in summer, so make sure you stop by and give it a try soon!
