“Royce no Mise” in Nishi-Temmma

A long-established hayashi rice and omurice specialty store that's loved by locals!

For today’s lunch, I visited a hayashi rice and omurice specialty store, “Royce no Mise” in Nishi-Temma.
I actually went for the hayashi rice, but there was a dish that let me try both hayashi rice and omurice on the menu, the “omu-hayashi” (750 JPY), so I went for that instead.
I didn’t order a supersize, but a massive omurice arrived, heaped with hayashi sauce on top!

There’s so much ketchup rice packed inside!

Let’s mix it with the hayashi sauce…

There’s the nostalgic taste of the ketchup rice fusing with the flavor and depth of the hayashi sauce, what a combination! I really want to try the normal hayashi rice now…

The simple menu hasn’t changed a bit since the good ol’ days!

The retro interior makes for a oretty chilled atmosphere.
When I arrived at 11:40AM, there was only one other customer, but just past 12PM, all the local businessmen started pouring in!
Looks like this place has really been loved by the locals for a long time!
For people who love hayashi rice and omurice, this place is definitely worth a visit!
