“Yoshitora” in Sakaisuji-Hommachi

Delicious eel bowl from a long-standing restaurant

For today’s lunch, I visited “Yoshitora” in Sakaisuji-Hommachi.
It is a very up-scale restaurant, perhaps too extravagant for lunch for office workers, but today is an exception (^^
Today, I had the “Una-don Teishoku” (¥3,255).
It is a very extravagant Una-don, an eel bowl, with a whole, large, meaty eel!

The eel that was grilled and then steamed is so tender that I could easily take it apart with my chopsticks!

Ah, so delicious!
Even though the eel was steamed, the sweet fat was still present and melted in my mouth!
Perfect grilling and steaming techniques to maintain tenderness and juiciness of the eel!

“Una-don Teishoku” with a liver soup and pickles is ¥3,255.
It is not cheap, but the quality of the eel justifies the price!

The restaurant is located at the end of an ally between buildings, and exudes characteristics of a well-established restaurant.
Both table and floor seats are available. The interior of the restaurant feels a bit retro, but is an elegant and clean atmosphere.
I would like to come to this type of restaurant for dinner someday (^^
