“Taiseikaku” in Shinsaibashi

The Lightning Mabo Doufu at Taiseikaku is super duper spicy with an extremely robust flavor, making it impressively delicious!

For today’s lunch, I went to the Chinese restaurant “Taiseikaku” in Shinsaibashi.
They are participating in the “Lightning Mabo Doufu Rally 2016” from September 1st through 31st, 2016.

“Lightning Mabo Doufu (Small)” (800 yen without tax)
The menu says it is small, but as it is served in a deep earthen pot, it is a pretty large serving. In addition, during lunch, white rice is generously provided free of charge!

The lightning is made with paprika in this restaurant!

First I will start eating with the China spoon.

Wooow, it’s sooo good!!
Behind the powerful spiciness of the chili pepper lies an incredibly robust and deep flavor. It is so delicious that you will be hooked in an instant!
The tofu is cut into relatively large pieces and is good as is, but if you stir the dish around and break down the pieces of tofu, it becomes thicker and impressively delicious!

Let’s try putting it on the rice

Wooow, it’s sooo good!!

While enjoying the self-serve iced coffee, I filled my stomach and fully satisfied myself!

This “Lightning Mabo Doufu” might be a bit harsh for those who do not like spicy food, but it is truly and unbelievably delicious, so please challenge it by all means (^^
I would like to try it again during the campaign period!
