salon de the Plaisir’s delicious scones

At Minami Horie, I met the most delicious scone that changed my idea of scones!

01

In Minami Horie area in Nishi-ku, Osaka, orthodox sweets shops with excellent interior and sweets open one after the other.
In this extremely competitive area for sweets, I met the most delicious scone!

02

That cafe is salon de the Plaisir, where one can enjoy fine tea and sweets.
The cafe is located next to a park across Super Tamade. The location is a little elusive. A hideaway cafe, so to speak.

03

The shop is simple and white-themed with calming music playing. It’s comfortable and fancy.

04

I recommend this cafe to women or couples who want to relax and chat while enjoying tea.

05

And here, I met the freshly baked scone that was very shocking.

06

I was surprised by the melt-in-your-mouth soft texture that I’ve never tasted before.

07

Together with sweet-tart strawberry jam and milky cream, it almost feels like you’re eating a rich dessert.
I had always thought that scones were dense and absorb all the water in your mouth, but this shop’s scones are the exact opposite.
I could also taste the flavor of butter and wheat from this soft chunk.

08

The spice enhances the richness of the tea that uses quality tea leaves.

09

This time, I ordered an additional tea to Plaisir’s cream tea 550Yen, but they also have a set with two homemade scones 450Yen.

10

They also have takeout scones.
If you love scones, or even baked sweets, please go taste these scones.

Just take my word for it and go. I’m sure your concept of scones will change, just like me.
