The Talk of the Town: A new Osaka Specialty, “Dotonbori Yakisoba”

“Dotonbori yakisoba” is a dish from the Nihon Konamon Kyokai’s ten-year anniversary project. We are pleased to present this brand-new Osaka specialty, Dotonbori yakisoba, which is the talk of the town at the moment. The super-thick, chewy noodles are totally more-ish! The spicy sauce adds a wonderful accent. You can find Dotonbori yakisoba not only in okonomiyaki restaurants, but also in izakaya bars and Chinese restaurants.

Dotonobori yakisoba set meal 780Yen

■ SPECIALTY Bokkakeyaki 903Yen
Bokkakeyaki is specialty dish from Nagata, Kobe that is served with volumes of bokkake—a dish made with sinewy beef and konnyaku.
The dough used for bokkakeyaki is light and fluffy, just like takoyaki!! The dish is fried carefully, as if being wrapped, then served with a half-boiled egg popped on top. Bokkakeyaki is super delicious as a dough-less okonomiyaki.

■ Kasuyaki 1,008Yen
Deep fried, succulent meat that’s loaded with collagen! You’ll love the perfect texture. It’s just right with the light and fluffy dough!

■ Yam and cod roe yakisoba 924Yen
Lashings of grated yam. The cod roe, mixed thoroughly throughout, gives this dish a salty aroma!
This is one of our original yakisoba recipes and is so light that you’ll gobble it up instantly!

■ Takoyaki
Our generously sized takoyaki are crispy on the outside and gooey on the inside. Our stock makes this dish truly flavorsome! We recommend enjoying our takoyaki with salt!
