Namba “ Gin ”
I received an invitation to attend the opening reception of “Niku Kappo -Gin-,” to open on April 15th 2015 on the 10th floor of Namba Hips, in Namba.
This is a restaurant where you can leisurely enjoy a course meal of “Ozaki beef,” the finest brand of Miyazaki beef, in a luxurious private room!
Today, I had their “Kikyo” course meal (7,500 JPY,) a reasonable priced course meal that includes 7 dishes, from appetizer to dessert!
“Daily Assorted Appetizer Platter (3 types)”
The assorted platter includes Ozaki beef stew with baguette bread, scallop and rape blossoms with “kimisu” (egg yolk vinegar dressing,) and Ozaki beef broiled sushi!

The meat is wonderfully tasty and it melts within the mouth in the blink of an eye, leaving a delicious aftertaste!

The fresh taste of the egg yolk vinegar dressing goes very well with the fragrant flavor of the scallop!

The rare meat matches the concentrated flavor of the stew exquisitely!

“Daily Vegetable Sticks with Ozaki Beef Niku Miso”
The fresh vegetables are really tasty, and the niku miso offers a very concentrated and rich flavor!
“Recommended Grilled Ozaki Beef Parts (3 types)”
This is an assortment of thigh meat, sirloin, and ribs!
You can add seasonings to your liking from the two available types of salt, wasabi, and sauce.
The taste of the meat is so rich!
The meat is so tasty!
The tasty meat is so tender that it melts in the blink of an eye, and the flavor is so light that I could go on eating this forever!!
I had sherbet to cleanse the palate before proceeding to the next dish…
“Ozaki Beef Dashi Shabu-shabu”
The meat used in this dish is Ozaki beef rib roast!
And this is the dashi soup…
Where you dip the meat to cook it shabu-shabu style…
Oh wow, this is just amazing!!
The meat is amazingly sweet, and the flavor of the dashi broth soaks through it resulting in extreme deliciousness!
“Ozaki Beef Shigureni – Served on Rice Hitsumabushi Style-”
(“Shigureni” consists in boiling the meat with soy sauce and sugar for a sweet and salty taste, with added ginger)
This is eaten first without adding anything, and once you are halfway through, you add some soup to eat the rest…
So incredibly tasty!
The taste is really sumptuous and full of the flavor of the meat!
To finish off, I had an assorted platter of sweets and some coffee, which made me end up full and very, very, very satisfied!!
The restaurant offers an outstanding calm and relaxed atmosphere, as all the guest seats are arranged into luxurious private rooms!
The grand opening of this amazing restaurant where you can enjoy Ozaki beef, the best Kuroge Wagyu brand beef of Miyazaki, to your heart’s content, is coming up on April 15th 2015!
