Tori Soba Zagin Niboshi Store in Minamisemba

Using plenty of high-quality dried fish, Ramen with intense dried fish flavors!

For today’s lunch, we went to “Tori Soba Zagin Niboshi Store” in Minamisemba.
It is a branch of a popular chicken Paitan Ramen shop located in Higobashi, offering not just the same popular chicken Paitan Ramen, but also a chicken Paitan based Ramen with dried fish broth!
“Niboshi Ginjo Nigori” (¥850)
Because of its intense dried fish flavors, people either like it or dislike it. As a dried fish lover, I had to try this Ramen!

First, I tried the thick soup…

Whoa!!!!! Yummmmmmyyyyyy!!!!
Shockingly intense dried fish flavors spread in my mouth!
Even with this level of intense dried fish flavor, the soup completely lacks bitterness, undoubtedly due to the high quality of the dried fish used to make the broth.

Flat, straight noodles…

The chewy noodles are not too thick, and easy to eat. They meld perfectly well with the thick dried fish soup!!

Chicken Char siu…

They are filling, and very nicely flavored!

Rare Char siu…

Its tenderness is reminiscent of prosciutto, and has very elegant flavors.

When the accompanying condiments were added, the flavors came together and a whole new flavor profile emerged!

4 kinds of menus are available.
“Niboshi Ginjo” has “Nigori” and “Clear” preparations. I cannot wait to try the “Clear” version next time!

Premium dried fish line up above the counter.

It is a bit unusual that the ticket vending machine is located outside of the store. Staff services are very thoughtful and comforting, nearly comparable to those at an upscale restaurant.
The fact that, many women feel comfortable enough to come alone, tells you about the amazing service and the atmosphere of this place!
Definitely check it out!
