The inside of the restaurant is nice, with an overflowing feeling of openness from the vaulted ceilings, and ambient lighting that creates a tranquil atmosphere.
The natural wood counter, where you can see the head chef working, is the best seat in the house!
There is also table seating and a private room (which seats 8); in total, the restaurant seats 28.
They have an extensive menu of kaiseki meals (starting at ¥5,500) and à la carte dishes; it’s fun to pick and choose what you want to eat!
The meat, fish, and vegetables, cooked slowly over a charcoal fire, are fragrant and full of flavor.
It is way too much fun choosing wines, sake, and shochu while consulting with the restaurant manager, who is a certified sommelier and kikizakeshi (sake sommelier)（≧∇≦）
・House Special Three Item Sampler
You can really sense the seasons with dishes such as the Japanese bay scallops with gelée sauce and the figs with sesame cream.
・Egg Tofu with Softshell Turtle
This is a soup of egg tofu with softshell turtle!
The softshell turtle, which has been braised slowly until meltingly tender, is full of collagen (=´∀｀)人(´∀｀=)
The plump egg tofu is mild in flavor!
・Assorted Seasonal Sashimi
The exceptionally fresh seafood is such a luxury!!
The chutoro and kuruma shrimp taste sweet and just melt in your mouth.
The kuruma shrimp heads are roasted over a charcoal fire and have a delicious aroma （≧∇≦）
・Winter Melon with Chilled Crab Ankake Sauce
When you think of summer, winter melon comes to mind, of course.
The winter melon, which I could eat everyday, is cold and refreshing.
The meat of the seasonal horsehair crab is tightly packed, and is outstanding paired with winter melon *\(^o^)/*
・Dry-Aged Saga Beef Fillet
Dry-aging the beef makes it tender and draws out a rich aroma.
It is characterized by a creamy, subtly sweet aroma, a springy texture, and a delicious savory flavor that spreads and lingers in your mouth.
・ Steamed Mangenton Pork and Mochi Rice, Wrapped in Magnolia Leaves
Premium Mangenton pork surpasses Iberian pork with its delicious flavor!
The succulent pork has a rich aroma and flavor, and the balance between fat and lean meat is superb!!
I can’t get enough of the unique, soft and chewy texture of the steamed mochi rice.
・Sea Somen with Rehydrated Abalone
The glass dish is beautiful.
The sea-scented somen and firm abalone have a refined flavor!
・Handmade Soba Noodles
Soba-lovers won’t want to miss the fragrant soba, which is so satisfying!!
The candied unripe plums, jam-packed with delicious flavor, can only be enjoyed during this season.
