Exquisite “omurice” (omelet rice) with gorgonzola sauce and thick, syrupy egg Nishi-Shinsaibashi “KOBE Kitchen MUGUNI”

I had been wanting to try this gorgonzola sauce omurice for a long time!

For today’s lunch, I went to “KOBE Kitchen MUGUNI”, a restaurant serving Western-style food in Nishi-Shinsaibashi.
This restaurant has a reputation for its delicious omurice, and I had been wanting to visit it for a long time, after seeing that many people speak very highly of their “Gorgonzola sauce omurice.”
I had tried going to this restaurant a few times before, but it was either temporary closed or their open hours for lunch were over. This was the fourth time I tried, and I finally was able to go in!
Of course, I came wanting to have their omurice with gorgonzola, but when I looked at the menu I found out that they had a “Half & Half,” so I ordered a “Half & Half” (880 yen) of their “Gorgonzola sauce” and “Hayashi sauce.”

This is what it looks like from above.
A superb collaboration between the gorgonzola sauce, the hayashi sauce, and the thick and syrupy eggs!
The rice inside is rather simply seasoned.

I mixed the abundant Gorgonzola sauce with the syrupy egg…

(゜Д゜)Yummy!

Anybody who likes cheese will most likely love this flavor!
The rich body of the Gorgonzola and its flavor, with just the right amount of salt, is delicious beyond words.
It was really really good, but for some reason I found that it was a flavor that I have eaten many times before…
As I was eating, I realized that it tastes extremely similar to “Penne with Gorgonzola,” one of my favorite dishes, which is often on the menu at Italian restaurants.
I think they may have adapted the sauce that is usually used with penne to use it with their omurice.

The Hayashi sauce had a slightly sweet and very refined taste. The substance of the onion and its gently bitter taste make it delicious!
When compared to the rich flavor of the Gorgonzola cheese, it felt rather light, but this difference was something that I enjoyed too.

It appears that they have “Demi-glace sauce,” “Gorgonzola sauce,” “Hayashi sauce,” and “Curry sauce” for their omurices, and that they also offer hayashi rice and curry rice.
I am afraid that no matter what you eat, the level will be quite high!

I am very satisfied that I have finally been able to eat the “Gorgonzola sauce omurice” that I could not have before no matter how many times I tried to come to the restaurant!
This is a small restaurant with only 10 seats, but it has a loose atmosphere that allows customers to completely relax in this space.
Judging by the level of the restaurant, their curry must be really good too, so I would like to try it the next time I come(^^
